Celtrak is based in Tuam, Co Galway, and specialises in the design, development and marketing of telematics services. Celtrak is a sister company of Connaught Electronics Ltd (CEL) which has become a major player in the supply of technology solutions to the automotive industry over the past 20 years and which employs about 250 people. Celtrak had its origins in the R&D Department of CEL but was established as a separate company in the year 2000.

Celtrak’s solutions involve the combined use of satellite location technology, mobile telephony and the Internet. The company has developed applications in the following areas :
