EpiSensor was founded in 2007 to bring the wide experience of wireless sensor networks and data collection of its founders to the marketplace. Based in Limerick, Ireland, the promoters have wide experience of founding and running international businesses and wanted to be part of the explosive growth of wireless sensor networks around the world. In its short history, the Company has already developed the SiCA platform, an industry-leading approach that combines a state-of-the art ZigBee PRO wireless mesh network of sensors, controllers and displays, linked through network gateways back to the datacentre, using highly reliable, encrypted data communication tools. EpiSensor is working with a number of multinational companies to bring wireless communications capabilities to their products and systems and our products have been deployed and are operating in many locations in Asia, Europe and North America. The applications are as diverse as street lighting, energy usage monitoring, transport fleet monitoring and building management.
