Tom Shinkwin, Partner
Tom joined EEVC in 2005 and is based in Dublin. He works closely with the Boards of a number of investee companies in the software and mobile communications areas including Alpha Wireless, Polecat, and previously with Phorest (shareholding acquired by Susquehanna Growth Equity), Movidius (acquired by Intel), Converser (acquired by Swrve).
Tom is a director of the Irish Venture Capital Association and a member of Invest Europe. He is also a member of the Board of Financial Leaders, French FinTech.
Tom has over twenty years commercial and operating experience covering banking, property and early stage technology sectors. His expertise includes corporate finance and M&A, as well as working with and investing in new start-ups and established businesses.
Tom worked for many years in London and Dublin with Morgan Stanley and Ulster Bank Group, as well as in the past with a civil engineering contractor and was co-founder of an active boutique corporate advisory firm.
An honours graduate of both UCD and Trinity College Dublin, he enjoys many things French and is a regular skier and cyclist in the Pyrenees. Previously a passionate tennis player!
